1. Fairfax County police found Laura McIntyre, the missing Springfield woman, yesterday. McIntyre went missing near her job in Herndon Monday night, but police say her disappearance was voluntary.
   
2. Don't forget: Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday begins today and lasts through Sunday. If you need to stock up on school supplies and clothing, the time is now. 
3. The TOAST Big Band will perform a mix of big band and swing music at Mason District Park Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Mason District Park.
4. The Fairfax County Animal Shelter began accepting dogs again this week. The shelter temporarily stopped taking in dogs after an outbrreak of an unknown illness.
5. This weekend, Annandale will celebrate Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Night at Ossian Hall Park on Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m.
