13 Health Code Violations Reported At Arlington Restaurant
Arlington health inspectors found violations at nine of the 21 food establishments they reported visiting on June 10.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County Public Health Department inspectors found health code violations at 9 of the 21 food establishments they reported visiting on June 10.
A health inspector reported finding 13 health code violations at Pizzato Pizza, including baggies of pasta in the walk-in refrigerator that were not date marked and an open bag of shredded cheese that was not re-dated to be used with seven days of being opened.
"Prepared foods held under refrigeration for more than 24 hours shall be date marked to be used within 7 days," the inspector said in their report. "Containers and packages of commercial food products once open must be re-dated to be used within seven days."

The inspector also told restaurant staff to maintain cutting boards clean to sight and touch, as well as make sure non-food contact surfaces, such as kitchen shelves, are kept clean.
