2 MD Men Accused Of Leaking DC Plane Crash Video To CNN
Two MD men have been charged after authorities said they gave confidential video of the plane-helicopter crash at Reagan National to CNN.

ARLINGTON, VA — Two Maryland men accused of leaking confidential video of the crash of an American Airlines passenger plane and an Army Black Hawk helicopter at Reagan National Airport to CNN, reports said.
In all, 67 people died in the crash: 60 plane passengers, four American Airlines crew members and the three-member Army flight crew. As of Tuesday, authorities said 55 of the victims have been recovered and identified as the search for the remaining victims continues.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority employees both were charged with computer trespass, a misdemeanor in Virginia, after CNN aired what it said was “exclusive” video of Wednesday night’s midair collision over the Potomac River.

WTOP said CNN’s Kate Bolduan presented the video footage Friday, saying it “appears to be surveillance video from the airport.”
The MWAA said in a statement to WUSA that the employees made an unauthorized copy of video and gave it to CNN.
As of midmorning Tuesday, they were working to raise another large piece of the plane. The National Transportation Safety Board is expected to give a news update later Tuesday.
Authorities are focusing first on recovering the remaining sections of the jet.
Col. Francis B. Pera of the Army Corps of Engineers said salvage crews on Monday were able to pull one of the two jet engines from the river, along with large pieces of the plane’s exterior. They were also working to recover a wing of the plane.
