Meet Smoke — a sweet dog who was brought to The Animal Welfare League of Arlington after he was found on a farm in southern Virginia.
ARLINGTON, VA — If you're thinking about adopting a furry friend, consider a local humane society like the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. The shelter works with private rescue groups and other shelters to place animals where they have the best chance for adoption.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington rescues dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rats and more.
One of these dogs is Smoke, a male hound mix who is ten years old.

Smoke was brought to the shelter after he was found as a stray in a barn in southern Virginia.
"Smoke is a distinguished gentlemen who is as sweet as can be. He walks well on a leash and accepts any and all treats," the shelter says.
