NoVA Candidate Prioritizes Repeal Of Initiative Meant To Create Affordable Housing

Patch asked each of the Democrats in the Arlington County Board race to share their list of priorities ahead of the June 17 primary.

ARLINGTON, VA — Repealing the Missing Middle initiative is the top priority for James DeVita, one of the two Democrats running for the vacant at-large seat on the Arlington County Board.

"The Missing Middle will not create affordable housing and will create too much density," he said.

DeVita and Takis Karantonis are competing in the June 17 primary. The winner will face independent candidates Audrey Clement, Carlos De Castro Pretelt and Jeramy Lee Olmack in the Nov. 4 general election.
