Arlington Eatery To Host Northern Italian Wine Dinner

This Arlington restaurant is offering a four-course Northern Italian menu with five vintages and a dessert at an upcoming wine dinner.

ARLINGTON, VA — Lyon Hall in Arlington will be hosting an Italian Wine dinner with pairings provided by Robert McFarlane of Potomac Selections Wine Co. on Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Diners will be served from a four-course menu featuring a dessert and five Northern Italian vintages chosen by McFarlane.

Welcome wine will be served at 6 p.m followed by a seated dinner at 6:30 p.m. in The Mezzanine at Lyon Hall, which is located at 3100 Washington Blvd.

Tickets are $110 plus 11 percent tax, 20 percent gratuity, and 2 percent OT booking fee. Seating is limited. Purchase tickets online.

The following menu was prepared by Executive Chef Miljohn Dimaano; Bridie McCulla, executive pastry chef for the Liberty Restaurant Group; and Dana Nyam, Lyon Hall general manager.

Amuse Bouche

  • Grilled Oyster Rockefeller with pistachio garlic butter, herbs and bread crumb paired with Bresolin Prosecco Asolo DOCG Extra Brut NV.

First Course

  • Creamy Cauliflower Soup, crouton, herb oil, micro green paired with Ronchi di Cialla Ribolla Gialla 2023.

Second Course

  • Creamy polenta, dry fruits and nuts, prosciutto, dark cherry au jus paired with Cantina Convento Muri-Gries Lagrein Alto Adige 2023.

Third Course

  • Chesnut, wild mushroom, beef demi, Castelmagno cheese pared with Paride Gattinara "Pietro" 2018.

Dessert

  • Semifreddo Fior di Latte blackberry and chestnut paired with Brunu Verdi Sangue di Giuda "Vigna Paradiso" 2024.
