Arlington Public Schools Makes Jan. 17 Weather Decision
Amid lingering impacts of the snowstorm, Arlington Public Schools is modifying its schedule on Wednesday.
ARLINGTON, VA — After a snowstorm turned a three-day holiday weekend into four days for students, Arlington Public Schools will have another school delay.
On Wednesday, APS will open on a two-hour delay following a closure on Tuesday.
The school system's Extended Day program will also open two hours late, and morning field trips are canceled for Wednesday.

APS custodial and maintenance staff and food service workers should report to work at their regularly scheduled time on Wednesday. All other employees should report to work two hours past their usual start time.
Roads and sidewalks continue to be cleared after Monday's winter storm into Tuesday morning. But leftover snow combined with frigid temperatures will cause refreezing on roads Tuesday night. Low temperatures will approach the low 10s.
