Arlington Shooting Suspect Arrested; Other Suspects At Large: Police
An 18-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in Arlington's Green Valley neighborhood Dec. 9, police said.

ARLINGTON, VA — An 18-year-old from Arlington has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Green Valley neighborhood on Dec. 9, according to police.
Darnell Moore Jr., 18, was taken into custody on Thursday and charged with malicious wounding, shooting with the intent to injure, maim or kill and other charges, Arlington County police said. Moore is being held without bond in the Arlington County Detention Facility.
Shortly after 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 9, police were dispatched to the report of a shooting at S. Kemper Road and S. Oxford Street in Arlington.

Police learned that a female victim was a passenger in a vehicle traveling on S. Oxford Street when four suspects approached on foot and fired guns, striking the victim and the vehicle, police said. After the shooting, the driver of the vehicle with the victim continued to the 4000 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive, where officers located them and began rendering aid to the victim.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The suspects fled the area in a silver SUV. Police described Moore and the other three suspects as Black males with skinny builds wearing dark clothing and facial coverings.
