Arlington Woman Sprayed Victim With 'Unknown Substance': Police

Jacqueline Nesbitt, 58, of Arlington has been charged with malicious wounding by a caustic agent, according to Arlington County police.

ARLINGTON, VA — An Arlington woman is facing charges following claims she sprayed another woman with an "unknown substance," according to the Arlington County Police Department.

Jacqueline Nesbitt, 58, has been charged with malicious wounding by a caustic agent.

Around 11:39 a.m. Sunday, police said they responded to the 200 block of N. Piedmont Street for a report of an assault.

Police said they determined that Nesbitt approached a group of people and reportedly sprayed a woman in the face with the unknown substance.

Police said the victim was treated and released on scene by medics.

Officers said they located Nesbitt on scene and took her into custody. She was held without bond.
