Crystal City Marriott Gets New Owner After $66M Sale: Report
JBGS Hotel Owner LLC, an affiliate of JBG Smith, has sold the Crystal City Marriott hotel in Arlington for almost $66 million.

ARLINGTON, VA — JBGS Hotel Owner LLC, an affiliate of JBG Smith, has sold the Crystal City Marriott hotel in Arlington for almost $66 million, according to a report.
The buyer of the hotel appears to be an affiliate of Houston-based Dauntless Capital Partners, The Washington Business Journal reported Tuesday. Another affiliate of Dauntless Capital Partners bought the Hilton Garden Inn in Bethesda in 2023 and two Marriott-branded hotels in D.C. in 2021, according to the report.
The Crystal City Marriott, at 1999 Richmond Hwy in Arlington, was one of the properties that JBG Smith acquired as part of its purchase of Vornado Realty Trust’s D.C. area business in 2017.

JBG Smith is Amazon Inc’s landlord and development partner in Arlington. The company also will be the developer of the sports and entertainment complex in Potomac Yard proposed by Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
