Eastbound I-66 Lane In Arlington To Be Closed For Road Work: VDOT

The eastbound I-66 right lane at the N. Utah Street overpass will be closed Monday and Tuesday nights to place barriers along the shoulder.

ARLINGTON, VA — The eastbound Interstate 66 right lane at the N. Utah Street overpass in Arlington will be closed Monday and Tuesday nights to place barriers along the right shoulder for bridge painting work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

Along eastbound I-66, N. Utah Street is the first overpass after the N. Glebe Road (Route 120) on-ramp, which will remain open to traffic, VDOT said.

The eastbound right lane on I-66 will be closed between 9:30 p.m. on Monday and 5 a.m. on Tuesday and between 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 5 a.m. on Wednesday. The work will be conducted as long as weather conditions allow it, according to VDOT.

Drivers should use extreme caution when traveling in the work zones on I-66, VDOT said.
