Get Lucky Dog Adoption, Paint Your Puppy Fundraiser For AWLA

ARLINGTON, VA — As St. Patrick's Day festivities continue through the weekend, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington is waiving adoption fees for dogs older than 6 months old through Sunday.

The public can view dogs in search of a forever home online or by visiting them in person. During this no-fee period, the shelter is open for adoptions from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The shelter is located at 2650 South Arlington Mill Drive in Arlington.

The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is also holding a Paint Your Pet Party fundraising event at Wine & Design on Sunday, April 3. Artists at Wine & Design will guide dog owners step-by-step to complete their own masterpiece of their furry best friend

During the class, attendees can enjoy two glasses of wine, the cost of which is included in the ticket price. Non-alcoholic drinks also will be available.
