Heart + Paw In Ballston Now Accepting Walk-In Visits For Urgent Needs

ARLINGTON, VA — Heart + Paw, a full-service veterinary clinic, is now accepting walk-in veterinary visits for more urgent needs at its Ballston Quarter location in Arlington.

During the visit, Heart + Paw staff will work on a diagnosis, treatment and medications in the same day.

“We are so excited to be welcoming walk-ins at our Ballston Quarter location,” Ballston Quarter Partner Doctor Dr. Astrith Puentes said in a statement. “Emergencies are unpredictable. At Heart + Paw we think it’s important for pets and pet parents to have access to care whenever they need it.”

Heart + Paw Ballston Quarter is open for walk-ins Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Walk-ins will be seen as soon as possible, but will be prioritized based on the order of arrival, plus the urgency of the condition of the pet.

Pet owners are allowed into the examination rooms with their pets to encourage full transparency and a low-stress visit for all. Some veterinary clinics are still not allowing pet owners into the examination room with their pets due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to walk-in visits, Heart + Paw Ballston Quarter provides wellness and preventive care, surgery, complete dental care, and diagnostics, along with pet grooming and dog daycare.
