Improper Roach Powder Found In Arlington Restaurant Kitchen: Inspection
Arlington County health inspectors found heath code violations at 11 of the 14 food establishments they visited recently.
ARLINGTON, VA — Arlington County health inspectors found violations at 11 of the 14 food establishments they visited Nov. 24-26, including one restaurant keeping unpermitted roach powder in its kitchen.
During a Nov. 26 visit to Kusshi at 1201 South Joyce St., an inspector noted that even though the restaurant sold dishes that contained raw fish, there was no customer advisory for raw fish on the lunch menu. The restaurant will make that correction the next time it prints a menu.

The inspector also reported seeing Hot Shot Fogger and Harris Roach Powder in Kusshi's kitchen, even though both are not permitted.
All pest control must be administered by a Certified Pest Control Operator, according to the report. The restaurant discarded the two insecticides during the inspection.

An inspector who visited Yu Noodles of Rosslyn at 1515 Wilson Blvd. on Nov. 24 noticed that Suite 101, found a container of sesame paste with a green growth inside of it. The container was discarded. Corrective Actions:
"Food shall be safe, unadulterated and, as specified under § 3-601.12, honestly presented," the inspector wrote in their report. "Once prepared, keep refrigerated at or below 41 F and date mark to be used within 7 days."
