More Than 20 New Businesses Coming To National Landing In 2025
New businesses include amenities that breathe life into our neighborhood and make the quality of life even greater, BID executive says.

ARLINGTON, VA — Every other week it seems like the National Landing Business Improvement District is celebrating the opening of a new business.
In 2023-2024, about 40 new small businesses opened with street facing retail and 2025 is expected to bring another 20 or so business to Arlington’s National Landing neighborhood.
“We think this is so important because we have so many new apartment buildings that have delivered new residents that are calling National Landing home,” said Tracy Sayegh Gabriel, president and executive director of the National Landing BID. “One of the reasons it makes the area so desirable is because there's great amenities at your door front. People can do all their shopping and eating right in the neighborhood, exploring the best of local cuisine. These new businesses include amenities that are breathing life into our neighborhood and making the quality of life even greater.”

With Amazon’s recent decision to bring its workforce back to the office, the BID now had 8,000 Amazon employees looking for a place to grab some lunch, meet up after work or seek out entertainment nearby.
“We need to make the experience of coming back to the office exciting and enjoyable, and part of that is having great amenities and a great place to come to,” Gabriel said. "Our small businesses are very excited to have Amazon employees back five days a week. Also, what we're hoping is that Amazon's employees, as well as other employees and residents in the neighborhood, are excited to patronize these businesses and enjoy a little variety.”
An example of that variety is the Breakfast Bingo Campaign that the National Landing BID recently launched, which offers players cash prizes during the month of January. Bingo cards can be picked up at any of the nine participating restaurants:
Play Breakfast Bingo
- Brij Coffee House
- Bubbie's Plant Burgers
- Colada Shop

“We're also working with Amazon on launching Met Park After Dark, and that's basically a new promotion offering fun happy hour and post-work events to encourage workers to shop and dine in National Landing after after heading or before heading home,” Gabriel said.
