Pet Of The Week: Buddy Loves Toys, Taking Naps On Your Lap
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington is helping Buddy, a large mixed breed dog, find a family he can love.
ARLINGTON, VA — Meet Buddy, whose favorite things are his chew toys, puzzle feeders, stinky cheese, snuggles, taking apart plushy toys, and scratches on the top of his head.
Buddy, a large mixed-breed dog, is a fast learner. He knows several cues like sit, paw, down and wait. He is working on off and leave it.
Buddy is house-trained and does very well when his foster mom is not home. He does not cry or bark when left alone and quickly lays down for a nap. Buddy likes his crate and uses it as his safe space.

A perfect day for Buddy would include a slow walk with plenty of time for sniffing everything, followed by a romp at the dog park, birdwatching out the window, and then curling up with his person for a long nap, preferably with his head on your chest.

Buddy is so thrilled when his foster mom comes home that he greets her with a tail that wags so hard that he hits himself in the face. And he enjoys laying in her lap to settle in for naps.
