Pet Of The Week: Sydney Loves Walks, Giving Kisses, Playing With Toys

ARLINGTON, VA — Sydney is a sweet, cuddling lady who loves to be around people, enjoys a good nap, and is always up for a walk.

Sydney, who is available for adoption from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, is a little bit of a diva and might ask for your spot on the couch. She also wants some extra toppings on her food to ensure it is tasty enough, according to her foster family.

Sydney, a mixed-breed dog, has a strong preference for soft, cozy areas and getting wrapped in blankets. She likes playing with soft toys and tossing them around. She will make sure you get your work out in if you want to sprint up and down the sidewalk.

Her special talents include cheering people up who are having a bad day by giving them kisses. She also helps out with your workouts by crawling around you so you start laughing so hard you can't do more leg lifts.

Her perfect day would include snuggling in bed, followed by a long walk and breakfast. She likes to end the day sandwiched between people on the couch watching a movie and sharing their snacks.

Sydney can be a little nervous around other dogs but has learned that treats on the ground are much better than watching other dogs.
