ARLINGTON, VA — Two people have been arrested after shoplifters scuffled with employees of a retail store in Rosslyn and then ran from responding police officers late last week, police say.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard at around 3:35 p.m. on Nov. 15 to a report of a larceny in progress, according to a report from the Arlington County Police Department.

"[T]wo suspects allegedly entered a business, concealed merchandise in bags and left without paying," the report states. "An employee attempted to confront the suspects outside the business and, following a brief scuffle, the suspects fled the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast by dispatch and a responding officer observed two individuals matching the suspect descriptions walking in the area."

One suspect complied with commands to stop, but the other suspect fled, police said.

"Additional police units located the suspect and, following a brief foot pursuit and canvas of the area, he was taken into custody without incident," the report states.

Arlington County Police spokesperson Ashley Savage said that theft included "various hygiene products."

Police charged 21-year-old Kennedy Molder of D.C. with providing false ID to law enforcement, possession of a schedule II substance, and three counts of petit larceny. He also had an outstanding warrant out of Fairfax County, police say.

Police also charged 19-year-old Camren Pratt of D.C. with four counts of petit larceny.
