These Are The Best Schools In VA: 2023 Rankings

Virginia figured prominently in several data analyses and rankings for education, from U.S. News & World Report, Niche, Money and others.

VIRGINIA — Throughout the year, various publications release “best of” lists to help guide Virginia residents’ educational choices, from the best elementary schools to the best colleges and universities to pursue a graduate degree.

Virginia figured prominently in several data analyses and study-driven rankings for education, from U.S. News & World Report, Niche, Newsweek and others. Some highlights:

According to U.S. News, Virginia boasts several of the best high schools, middle schools and elementary schools. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology remains Virginia's top-ranked school, but it fell in the national ranking of high schools.

McLean High School and Langley High School in Fairfax County were both ranked high in both the state and national rankings, according to U.S. News.

Among Virginia's colleges, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech and William & Mary all ranked in the top 100, according to U.S. News.

The ranking and review site Niche also weighed in on the best public schools, school districts and colleges in Virginia. Read more:
