Voting Begins In Democratic Endorsement For Arlington School Board

Arlington voters will get to choose either Angelo Cocchiaro​ or Miranda Turner in the Democratic endorsement process for school board.

ARLINGTON, VA — The Arlington County Democratic Committee is holding its endorsement process for Arlington County School Board at three different locations over the next week.

The vote is open to any registered Arlington voter who signs a form pledging to support the Democratic Party endorsee for Arlington School Board. Voters will be asked to provide their names and addresses.

The candidates are Angelo Cocchiaro and Miranda Turner. The winner of the endorsement process will run in the general election in November to replace Arlington School Board Chair Reid Goldstein, who decided not to seek re-election.

Also on the November ballot will be James "Vell" Rives, who recently announced that he had qualified for the general election for Arlington School Board.

  • Sunday, May 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Drew Elementary School
  • Wednesday, May 10, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Campbell Elementary School
  • Saturday, May 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Washington-Liberty High School
