Would-Be Bank Robber Threatened To Use Explosives At Loudoun County Business: Police
The suspect fled, a sheriff's office official said Tuesday.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A would-be bank robber threatened to use explosives at a business on Monday at the Dulles Crossing Plaza, according to police.
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office responded to the attempted robbery around 3:45 p.m. at the Bank of America location in the 45400 block of Dulles Cross Plaza in Sterling, police said.

"The suspect threatened the use of explosives," the sheriff's office said in a news release. "After a thorough search of the building and the surrounding area, the area has been deemed safe."
The suspect fled, sheriff's office Media Relations and Communications Director Thomas Julia said in an email Tuesday, adding authorities are continuing to pursue the person.
