Robber Thwarted By Dirt Thrown in His Face

A robber held a victim at gunpoint Friday, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

A man thwarted a robber by throwing dirt in his assailant's face, according to the Arlington County Police Department.

A robber held the man at gunpoint with a .45-caliber handgun at 9:30 p.m. Friday in the 1100 block of North Taylor Street, according to police. The victim told police the robber ran away.

The victim told police the robber had a full beard, was in his late 30s, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, and about 250 pounds.
