Assault & Battery Charges Levied Against Rideshare Driver: FCPD

A 64-year-old rideshare driver accused of assaulting a passenger in his vehicle turned himself in to authorities , according to police.

FAIRFAX, VA — Investigators from the Fairfax County Police Department arrested a 64-year-old ride-share driver from Centreville, who they say assaulted a passenger in his vehicle while they were in the Fair Lakes area, according to the incident report.

On Tuesday, detectives responded to Prince William County for the report of an assault. The victim told investigators that she had been assaulted by a ride-share driver inside the vehicle while it was in Fairfax County, according to police.

The detectives identified 64-year-old Mohsen Moslehi-Nik of Centreville as the suspect in the case, according to police.

Moslehi-Nik turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Thursday. He was charged with assault and battery and later released, police say.

Moslehi-Nik has a hearing scheduled for May 7 in Fairfax County General District Courts, when he will face two misdemeanor charges of assault and battery, according to court records.

In 2021, Moslehi-Nik was arrested in Fairfax County and cited on a misdemeanor charge of assault and battery. In that case, the prosecution declined to prosecute, according to court records.
