Fairfax City Highlights Alternative Transportation Options
Fairfax City is celebrating Get There Differently month in September to promote alternative ways of getting around.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — The City of Fairfax is challenging residents to "Get There Differently" throughout the month of September.
The aim of this effort is to encourage members of the public to get out from behind the wheel of their cars and take an alternative form of transportation, such as the CUE bus, Metro or Capital Bikeshare. Commuters are also encouraged to carpool.
If you'd like to use a scooter, download Bird or Lime apps. New riders who use TRYSCOOTERS24 promo code will receive a 25 percent discount on their first three rides.

Throughout September, residents are invited to take a selfie of themselves trying an alternative form of transportation. They can post the photo on the City's X, Facebook, or Instagram accounts with the hashtag: #FFXCityGetThereDifferently. This will enter them in a raffle to receive a $50 Flex Card, which can be used at businesses across the city.
Residents who want to try BikeShare can use the TryBikeshare24 promo code to get a free day pass and GetThereByBike24 for $20-off an annual membership.
