Fairfax Man Arrested For Setting City Home On Fire: Investigators

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — A 32-year-old Fairfax man faces a charge of burning a building in connection to a fire that occurred at 9:46 p.m. Tuesday in the city.

Officers from the City of Fairfax Police responded to the 3900 block of Fairview Drive to help the City of Fairfax Fire Department in its investigation of a house fire, according to the incident report.

After investigators determined the fire had been intentionally set, a police officer arrested Emanuel Morales-Galyan of Fairfax, who was located nearby, according to police.

Morales-Galyan was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with burning or destroying a dwelling and held without bond.
