Fight at Fairfax Hotel Leads to Shattered Plate Glass Window: Police
Two men got into a fight and one pushed the other into a hotel window, Fairfax City Police said.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Police were called early Saturday to a local hotel where a fight led to one man pushing another into a plate glass window that shattered, according to Fairfax City Police.
The incident took place at 3535 Chain Bridge Road at the Best Western Hotel Saturday at 1:53 a.m., according to police.
Officers responding to a report of a fight in progress determined that each of the two male subjects involved had assaulted the other and one of them had pushed the second into the glass at the front of the hotel, causing it to break, according to police.

Both subjects were treated at the scene for their injuries. Daniel Paul Dennard, 37, of 3968 Walnut Street, Fairfax, and Joe Paxton Ware, 48, of 10404 Vineyard Lane, Fairfax, were transported to the Adult Detention Center where both were charged with assault and battery and drunk in public and Dennard was additionally charged with destruction of property for pushing Ware into the glass at the hotel.

False Pretenses 16-10908: 10300 Block of Layton Hall Drive – On June 24 at 8:52 AM the resident reported that he had responded to a telephone offer from unknown person(s) to purchase a new cell phone and paid for it when it arrived COD. However, the package contained a tablet worth far less than the amount the victim had paid for the phone he thought he was purchasing.
Larceny 16-10927: 10409 Main Street / Hollie Rob Antiques – On June 24 at 2:40 PM an owner reported that sometime between June 22 and June 24 unknown person(s) had stolen two air conditioning compressors from the rear of the building.
Assault 16-10983: 9687 Fairfax Boulevard – On June 25 at 2:53 AM the victim, a 42 year old Fairfax area woman, reported that one of two unknown female subjects with who she had had a verbal altercation had shoved her, causing her to fall to the ground and sustain injuries. The female subjects then left the area in a vehicle. The victim was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Vandalism 16-11012: 10350 Willard Way / Safeway – On June 25 at 12:12 PM a manager reported that unknown person(s) had written graffiti on the toilet stall wall in the restroom.
Vandalism 16-11046: 3800 Block of Wilcoxson Drive – On June 25 at 11:33 PM the resident reported that unknown person(s) had thrown eggs on several windows of his home.
