Reston Man Charged After Punching 2 Women in Fairfax City: Police
The latest incidents are highlighted in the Fairfax City Police crime bulletin released Monday.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- A Reston man faces charges of assault and battery, after police say he punched two women early Sunday in Fairfax City, police said.
The man, Javier Alonzo Nunez-Salgado, 31, of 12258 Laurel Glade Court in Reston, was also charged with felony larceny after he allegedly took a cell phone from one of the victims during an argument. Police say he was an acquaintance of the women, who are sisters.

DUI Arrest 16-07570: 3200 Block of Old Lee Highway – On May 6 at 5:17 PM an officer investigating the report of a vehicle striking a utility pole determined that the driver was intoxicated. Nathan James Manuel, 30, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, refusal of blood/breath test and reckless driving. His bond was set at $1500.

DUI Arrest 16-07685: 10400 Block of Armstrong Street – On May 8 at 12:32 AM an officer who had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle determined that the driver was intoxicated. Tariq Tawfiq, 21, of 11353 Aristotle Drive, Fairfax, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusal of blood/breath test.
Vandalism 16-07708/16-07709/16-07711: 10400 Block of Armstrong Street / 4100 Block of Chain Bridge Road / 4100 Block of University Drive / 4200 Block of Trowbridge Street – On May 8 between 9:12 AM and 11:29 AM investigating officers observed that numerous parking and directional signs had been pulled from the ground overnight by unknown person(s).
False Pretenses 16-07735: 11001 Lee Highway / Advance Auto Parts Parking Lot – On May 8 at 6:23 PM the victim reported that a male subject had used his vehicle to block the victim’s car and said he would not move it until he had made allegedly needed “repairs” to the victim’s vehicle and was paid for them. The suspect would accept only cash in payment. After receiving the money, the suspect moved his vehicle.
Defrauding Innkeeper 16-07738: 10560 Main Street / Red Zone – On May 8 at 7:20 PM employees reported that after a female subject had presented a credit card which was declined in payment for her bill, she had left the business with two other women and a small child and all were observed leaving the parking lot in a vehicle. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
