South Block Celebrates Fairfax City Grand Opening With Block Party

Billed as a juice bar with a mission, South Block is celebrating its grand opening with giveaways, music and a celebrity athlete appearance.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — South Block, the restaurant chain that specializes in making handcrafted smoothies and bowls from scratch, will host the grand opening of its Fairfax City location on Saturday.

To celebrate the occasion, South Block will host a Block Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 9672 Main St. on the south side of Fair City Mall.

During the block party, South Block will be handing out free swag and the first 100 customers will receive a mini açaí bowl, according to the restaurant’s Instagram account.

In addition, DJ Phlipz will be providing music for the block party and Chloe Ricketts of the Washington Spirit professional soccer team will be signing autographs.

“At South Block, we believe in the power of small acts to create big changes,” according to the company’s website. “While we might look like an awesome juice bar on the surface (we definitely are!), our true mission goes far beyond smoothies and bowls.
