Suspect Makes Off with Mercedes at Fairfax City Car Lot: Police

Here's a look at the most recent crime as reported by the Fairfax City Police in their most recent crime bulletin.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Police say a suspect got into a 2014 Mercedes E-350 at A + Motors on Fairfax Boulevard in Fairfax City Tuesday morning and drove off with the car. The car had been parked with the keys in it, police said. The dealer currently has three 2014 Mercedes E-350s listed on its Web site from $22,980 to $32,980. No word on whether the suspect left a trade-in.

Larceny 16-10860: 10900 Block of Fairchester Drive – On June 23 at 7:47 PM the resident reported that unknown person(s) had removed a single check from her checkbook and wrote it out to an unknown individual and cashed it on May 31.

Vandalism 16-11118: 9670 Main Street / Robeks – On June 27 at 10:05 AM the property manager reported that sometime after June 25 unknown person(s) had spray painted graffiti on the back door and lower staircase.

Larceny 16-11143: 10702 Fairfax Boulevard / Panera – On June 27 at 4:23 PM the victim reported that unknown person(s) had taken her wallet from her purse while she was at the restaurant earlier in the day. The wallet contained identification and credit cards, one of which was subsequently used in an attempt to make an unauthorized purchase.

Fraud 16-11215: 3201 Old Lee Highway / Home Depot – On June 28 at 4:07 PM the victim, who lives in Colorado, reported that unknown person(s) had used his Pay Pal account at the business on June 17 to make an unauthorized purchase. The Patrol Division is investigating the case.
