Suspect in Shoplifting Case Spit on Officer: Police

Man is accused in Monday afternoon shoplifting case at local store on Main Street in Fairfax City, police say.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA -- Here are the latest incidents reported by the Fairfax City Police, in their crime bulletin released Wednesday:

Shoplifting Arrest 16-07788/16-07797: 9652 Main Street / Best Buy – On May 9 at 2:11 PM employees reported that a male subject had taken merchandise from the store without paying. Officers located the suspect in the area and he was taken into custody. Andrew Workman, 21, of no fixed address, was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he was charged with felony larceny—third or subsequent offense and held without bond. While in custody the suspect spit on a police officer and was additionally charged with felony assault on an officer.

Identity Theft 16-07869: 10000 Block of Ranger Road –On May 10 at 3:35 PM the resident reported that sometime after March 16 unknown person(s) had used her personal information to open unauthorized bank accounts in her name.
