Vehicle Stolen From Outside Fairfax City Restaurant Quickly Recovered
With the help of the FLOCK camera system, police quickly located a vehicle that had just been stolen from outside a Fairfax City restaurant.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police arrested a 33-year-old Stafford man for taking the vehicle of a person who was visiting a city restaurant on Jan. 24.
Officers responded around 8:30 p.m. to the Chuck E. Cheese located at 9404 Main St. for a stolen vehicle report. The victim told police that someone had taken their vehicle while they were in the business.
Using the FLOCK camera system, investigators located the vehicle nearby and tried to perform a traffic stop. Attempting to evade police, the driver drove through a red light and struck another vehicle, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Police identified the suspect as Shantoine Johnson and took him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with grand larceny auto theft, reckless driving, and driving without a license. Johnson was then held without bond and released later on his own recognizance.
Johnson has a hearing scheduled for March 25 in Fairfax County General District Court, according to court records.
