Haraz Yemeni Coffee Chain Opens Fairfax City Location

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — With Haraz Coffee House opening its doors in the Fairfax Junction Westfair shopping center on Monday, Fairfax City residents now have a place to enjoy authentic Yemeni coffee.

“Haraz Coffee features Yemeni coffee, by sourcing the finest beans and honoring traditional craftsmanship of the bold, authentic flavors of Yemen in every cup,” according to a release.

Founded in Dearborn, Michigan, the Yemeni coffee chain has expanded to 26 locations across the U.S., with 142 other locations expected to open soon, according to the company's website.

Haraz menu items include coffee, espresso, refreshers, pastries, Dubai Chocolate and more. Also available for purchase are coffee blends-to-go, machines and other coffee equipment.

"The country of Yemen is unparalleled to any other place on this Earth," the company’s website says. "From its breathtaking scenery to its history that dates back to the beginning of man. Yemen is the homeland of our family. As first-generation immigrants, we wanted to honor our heritage. Yemen is where coffee was invented and later flourished in global trade. Roasting and serving coffee is something that is inclusive of all people and cultures, and brings people together. Our coffee is grown from altitudes over 3,000 feet in a mountainous village called Haraz, where our namesake originates."

The new Haraz Coffee House is located at 11001 Lee Highway in Fairfax.
