Court Square Theater Announces April Wednesdays at the Movies!
Arts Council of the Valley's Court Square Theater rolls out its April Wednesdays at the Movies! schedule, featuring six different titles.
HARRISONBURG, VA – Arts Council of the Valley’s Court Square Theater (CST) rolls out its April Wednesdays at the Movies! schedule, featuring six different titles.
Tickets ($9; $8 for CST annual members) are available online, at 540.433.9189, and at the door 30 minutes before each screening. A full bar and concessions are available to enhance the Wednesday movie-going experience. Each month’s film schedule - and advance tickets - are available at courtsquaretheater.org. - Blink (2004-PG) - Chronicles a family’s global trip before their children lose vision to a rare genetic disorder, capturing their journey to experience the world’s beauty while they can still see it, and prepare for an inevitable future. Apr 23 at 2 pm; Apr 30 at 7 pm.
- Eephus (2024-NR) - A pair of New England Sunday baseball league teams face off for the final time, with flaring tensions and ceremonial laughs. Apr 2 at 2 pm; Apr 9 at 7 pm.
- The Friend (2024-R) - Based on the 2018 novel by Sigrid Nunez, this American drama was written and directed by Scott McGehee and David Siegel; starring Naomi Watts, Bill Murray, Sarah Pidgeon, Carla Gugino, Constance Wu, and Ann Dowd. Apr 23 at 7 pm, Apr 30 at 2 pm.
- The Penguin Lessons (2024-PG13) - This poignant dramedy from director Peter Cattaneo follows an Englishman’s personal and political awakening after he adopts a penguin. Apr 9 at 2 pm; Apr 16 at 7 pm.
- Pulp Fiction (1994-R) - Directed by Quentin Tarantino, the neo-noir drama follows intertwined stories of people in the Los Angeles criminal underworld. Apr 2 at 7 pm.
- Universal Language (2024-NR) - A Canadian absurdist comedy-drama, co-written and directed by Matthew Rankin. Apr 16 at 2 pm
In addition, on Thursday, April 17 (6:30 pm) the Harrisonburg Appalachian Trail Community presents a screening of Appalachian Trail: The Beaten Path. Suggested donation is $10 (students $8) for the film and hiker presentations.
