• JMU fans make adventure out of trip to CFP game against Oregon (whsv.com) — From Harrisonburg, JMU fans are crisscrossing the country by plane and even multi-day train rides to see the Dukes face Oregon in the College Football Playoff. Alumni describe scrambling for tickets, bonding with fellow fans in purple, and treating the long trek as a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that celebrates how far the program has come.
   

• Motorcycle groups make special delivery to UVA Health Children's Hospital (whsv.com) — Harrisonburg’s Proud American Riders and Brotherhood on Wheels rode to UVA Health Children’s Hospital in Charlottesville to deliver more than 300 toys for young cancer patients, inspired by former patient Waylon. Local organizer Cathy Breeden and Waylon’s family say the gifts and simple kindness can make long, stressful hospital days more bearable for families facing treatment, especially during the holidays.
