Assistance League Will Be Part of Two Community Events This Weekend
Learn About Our Volunteer Programs at Activities in Centreville and Springfield

If you would like an in-person introduction to Assistance League of Northern Virginia and its programs, you’re invited to attend either of two events this weekend where the nonprofit will showcase the many ways it has been making a difference in the area for 20 years. Assistance League will also seek new members to help continue its impressive legacy for many more years.
On Saturday, October 14, Assistance League will participate in the Centreville Day Community Festival, at Centreville Park, from 10 am to 4 pm. On Sunday, October 15, members will be at the Venture into Volunteering Expo at Springfield Town Center from noon to 4. Visitors should enter from the Maggiano-Yard House area and head downstairs. Look for Assistance League, along with 40 other nonprofits, on the lower level of the mall.
At both venues, Assistance League members will be happy to describe their food, clothing, and literacy programs for students at Title 1 elementary schools throughout the area. Whether you know about its programs or have just heard about the nonprofit, Assistance League members will be eager to help you find ways to make a difference in the lives of children in need by joining their organization

In addition, Assistance League will be selling the 2023 White House Ornament (only $23 https://tiny.alnv.org/who) and collecting gently used pairs of sneakers as fundraisers. Because the nonprofit receives no local, state, or federal funding, it relies on a variety of fundraising activities to sustain its philanthropic programs. Please help.
