Back to School Nights for Kingstowne Schools

The first day of school for Fairfax County Public Schools on a traditional calendar is Sept. 3. Schools in the Kingstowne area are hosting Back to School Nights starting in September.

Back-to-school nights offer parents a chance to visit their children's classrooms, meet teachers and learn more about classes. 

Here is the school-by-school list of upcoming back-to-school nights:

• Hayfield Elementary School — 6 p.m., Sept. 12
• Hayfield Secondary School — Grades 7-8: 6 p.m., Sept. 11; Grades 9-12: 6 p.m., Sept. 17
  
• Island Creek Elementary School — Grades K-3: 7 p.m., Sept. 18; Grades 4-6: 7 p.m., Sept. 19
  
• Lane Elementary School — Grades K-2: 6:30 p.m., Sept. 12; Grades 3-6: 6:30 p.m., Sept. 18
  
• Clermont Elementary School — 7 p.m., Sept. 19
  
• Thomas Edison High School — 6:30 p.m., Sept. 18
  
• Key Center School — noon, Aug. 29
  
• Key Middle School — Grade 7: 6:30 p.m., Sept. 19; Grade 8: 6:30 p.m., Sept. 26
