Calendar Reminder: Student Schedule Changes for Friday, Monday at FCPS Schools

Here's a look ahead at a long weekend coming up for Fairfax County Public Schools.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Want to plan a long weekend with the family? All FCPS schools will close two hours early Friday, Feb. 3, the last day of the second quarter. Schools will be closed for students on Monday, Feb. 6 for a teacher workday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

This school year, students will be released two hours early on the last day of each quarter, the day before Thanksgiving break, the Friday before Memorial Day, and the last day of school in June. Here's a look at th rest of the school year:

  • Feb. 20 George Washington’s Birthday - Presidents' Day Holiday - Student Holiday
  • March 24: Student Holiday
  • April 7: Third Grading Period Ends*+ Students Released 2 Hours Early
  • April 10 - 14: Spring Break
  • April 17: Student Holiday
  • May 26: Students Released 2 Hours Early
  • May 29: Memorial Day Holiday - Student Holiday
  • June 15: Graduation on or after this date
  • June 23: Last Day of School*+N Students Released 2 Hours Early
