D'Oh! Simpsons Pop-Up Opening In Springfield For Limited Time

SPRINGFIELD, VA — A new pop-up opening in Springfield Town Center isn't the Springfield referenced in the longtime animated comedy "The Simpsons," but it's close enough. Moe's Tavern Pop Up will open for a limited time starting Friday, Nov. 19.

This ticketed family-friendly experience is a parody of Moe's Springfield in "The Simpsons." Guests can enjoy food and drinks at Moe's Tavern, play pool, try the Love Tester, visit Moe’s "office," write your "punishment" on the blackboard, and listen for the crank phone calls. On Black Friday, Nov. 26, there will be Simpson's trivia and live music from Carl Park of Knewfoulke. Costumes are encouraged.

The pop-up will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between Nov. 19 and Dec. 11. Friday hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday hours are 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday hours are 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The location is the Springfield Town Center lower level near Macy's, 6500 Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA.

Ticket packages start at $37 for adults and come with food, a bag of chips, and a custom-labeled craft soda or custom-labeled water. Kid tickets for ages 7 and under start at $20 and include a meal and drink. Food options for adults include an Italian sub, turkey and cheese sub, ham and cheese sub, veggie sub, grilled chicken salad, garden salad, Buffalo wings, or plain wings. Kids meals include macaroni and cheese or chicken tenders.

Additional food will be available for purchase. One of the featured items is the Drunkin’ D’Ohnuts Shake (no alcohol), an extra thick vanilla milkshake with two pink frosted doughnuts and an assortment of specialty candies on a Drunkin’ D’Ohnuts tray. This can be added onto an adult ticket for an extra charge. Aside from food, some ticket packages include commemorative swag, but most items will be available for purchase at the event.
