Employee At School In Springfield Accused Of Dragging Student By Arm: Police
An instructional assistant at a Springfield elementary school has been accused of dragging a student by their arm down the school's hallway.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — An instructional assistant at Saratoga Elementary School in Springfield has been accused of dragging a student by their arm down the hallway of the school, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
The instructional assistant, Fouzia Masood Khan, 59, of Springfield has been charged with simple assault of a student, police said Thursday.
On Jan. 11, a school employee saw Khan pulling the student by their arm, police said. The employee reported the incident to school administrators. FCPD detectives were notified on Jan. 13 and began an investigation.

On Thursday morning, FCPD detectives obtained a warrant and served Khan with a summons for simple assault.
Specialists from the FCPD’s Victim Services Division have been assigned to ensure that the victim receives appropriate resources and assistance, police said.
