Winter Weather Advisory Expanded To More Areas Of NoVA
Monday's winter storm could bring mixed precipitation to the area. More chances of winter weather are possible in the next week.

VIRGINIA — Residents may have seen light snow briefly in recent days, but it was nothing that would produce accumulation. Residents in the immediate DC region could see several chances of winter storms in the upcoming week.
The first snow storm is expected Monday, with the National Weather Service predicting mixed precipitation. Loudoun County was initially the only Northern Virginia locality under a winter weather advisory, but the National Weather Service expanded the advisory to Fairfax County, Arlington County, Falls Church, Alexandria and the District of Columbia. For these areas, forecasters expect 1 to 2 inches of snow and a trace of ice.
In Loudoun County and areas west of the immediate DC region, forecasters expect up to 2 inches and ice accumulations up to one-tenth an inch. The advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday.
