Girl, 16, Leads Cops on Chase in Stolen Car, Crashes in Kingstowne: Police
She ran a red light, crashed into a car injured a 62-year old woman driver and then fled the scene, police said.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a 16-year old girl led them on a two-mile chase early Monday driving a stolen car down Kingstowne Village Parkway.
The incident started at Kingstowne Village Parkway and Manchester Lakes Boulevard Monday at about 5:14 a.m. That's when a patrol officer noticed a 2016 silver Jeep Wrangler was driving in a "suspicious manner," police said. When the officer ran the license plate, the vehicle came back stolen, police said.
The officer turned his police lights on and tried to pull the car over, but the Jeep failed to stop and led the officer on a chase down Kingstowne Village Parkway, police said.

The driver of the Jeep blew through a red light at Beulah Street and Morning View Lane, police said, and crashed into a Toyota Corolla. Three people inside the Jeep fled on foot. Two of them were apprehended immediately.
Police then set up a perimeter and the driver, a 16-year-old girl, was apprehended a short time later, police said.

The driver of the car that was hit, in a Toyota, was a 62-year-old female; she was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The passengers in the stolen car were Alex Turcios, 18, and Hayat Tarabichi, 20, both of the Alexandria area. They were transported to the Adult Detention Center where they were charged with possession of stolen property, felony hit and run and eluding.
The 16-year old girl was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center, where she was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, speed to elude, felony hit and run and no operator’s license, police said.
