Golf Director At Springfield Golf & Country Club Wins National Award
Josh Tremblay, director of golf at Springfield Golf & Country Club, was named the recipient of the 2023 PGA Player Development Award.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Josh Tremblay, director of golf at Springfield Golf & Country Club, was named the recipient of the 2023 PGA Player Development Award.
This honor gives special recognition to a PGA Member who has displayed extraordinary and exemplary contributions and achievements in the area of player development.
Tremblay, a nearly 20-year PGA member in the Middle Atlantic PGA Section, has led the golf program at Springfield Golf & Country Club on Old Keene Mill Road since 2009. Previously, he served four years as the PGA Head Professional at the Woodmont Country Club in Rockville.

He began his career as an Assistant PGA Professional at Wilmington Country Club in Delaware.
Tremblay was one of 13 award recipients announced Wednesday at the 2023 PGA Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

“It’s an incredible accomplishment to stand out as an honoree among nearly 28,000 PGA Professionals, as they are celebrated for furthering the business and game of golf,” PGA President John Lindert said in a statement. “Congratulations to our 13 National Award recipients for their inspirational dedication to the game.”
A 2002 graduate of the Penn State PGA Golf Management University Program, Tremblay was one of the first PGA Professionals to bring PGA Jr. League to the Middle Atlantic PGA Section.
He also is a Callaway Master Staff Professional and specializes in teaching juniors, women, beginners and seniors. Tremblay was elected to a two-year term as Middle Atlantic Section president in 2019, after serving as secretary and vice president.
Tremblay has won numerous Middle Atlantic PGA Section awards, including the Player Development Award in 2021, Golf Professional of the Year in 2014, and Youth Player Development Award in 2010.
