Hayfield’s boys tennis team got their 2011 season off to a smashing start last night with a seven matches to two victory over Mount Vernon. The Hawks clinched the match in singles play and also edged the Majors in doubles.
Winners for Hayfield in singles were: Brian Heilbronner, William Haas, Allen Oronce, Daniel Kwang Rae Kim and Hunter Woodall and in doubles: Saif Khen, Allen Gray, and Hajung Jung.
Hayfield will look to put together back-to-back wins on Friday when they travel to Washington-Lee.
