Hours Modified for Fairfax County Park Facilities During the Holidays
There will still be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the parks, nature centers, historic sites and RECenters during this festive time

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- During the holiday season, some Fairfax County Park Authority sites will have modified hours, but there will still be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the parks, nature centers, historic sites and RECenters during this festive time.
- On Dec. 23, 2016, the visitor center at Frying Pan Farm Park and the historic house at Green Spring Gardens will be closed.
- On Dec. 24, the following sites will be closed: The George Washington RECenter, Colvin Run Mill, Sully Historic Site, E.C. Lawrence Park, Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Hidden Pond Nature Center, Huntley Meadows Park, Riverbend Park Nature Center, Frying Pan Farm Park (farm and visitor center), and Green Spring Gardens (horticultural center and historic house). RECenters will close at noon.
- On Dec. 25, the following sites will be closed: all RECenters, Colvin Run Mill, Sully Historic Site, E.C. Lawrence Park, Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Hidden Pond Nature Center, Huntley Meadows Park, Riverbend Park Nature Center, Frying Pan Farm Park (farm and visitor center), and Green Spring Gardens (horticultural center and historic house).
- On Dec. 26, the visitor center at Frying Pan Farm Park and the historic house at Green Spring Gardens will be closed.
- On Dec. 31, the George Washington RECenter and the Green Spring Gardens historic house will be closed.RECenters will close at 4 p.m.
- On Jan. 1, 2017, the following sites will be closed: The George Washington RECenter, Colvin Run Mill, Sully Historic Site, E.C. Lawrence Park, Hidden Oaks Nature Center, Hidden Pond Nature Center, Huntley Meadows Park, Riverbend Park Nature Center, Frying Pan Farm Park (farm and visitor center), and Green Spring Gardens (Horticultural Center and Historic House). RECenters will open at 10 a.m. and close at 6 p.m.
