While on his way to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, Murray suffered a medical emergency and was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the specific cause and manner of death.

Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis has directed the release of a body camera footage and audio recordings within 30 days or when it no longer jeopardizes the integrity of the investigation into the incident and Murray’s death, police said.
