New Weather Alert for Friday Morning in Fairfax County

The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for the Fairfax County area from 3 am to 9 am on Friday.

Accumulation is expected to be less than one-tenth of an inch, but it will be enough to make driving dangerous, particularly on untreated roads, according to the NWS.

A freezing rain advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel and commute issues.  Prepare for slippery roads and use caution when driving.

According to the weather service the best chance for freezing rain is late to early Friday morning.
