Police Await Autopsy Report on Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Police Cruiser
Police are continuing their investigation into the crash involving a police cruiser that hit and killed a 26-year old man Saturday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Detectives from the Fairfax County Police Department's Traffic Division’s Crash Reconstruction Unit continue their investigation into the fatal pedestrian crash that involved a police cruiser on Saturday, April 2, Fairfax County Police announced Friday.

Jeff Ponce Aguilar was struck and killed by a police cruiser late Saturday night at Beulah Street near Hilltop Village shopping center, while crossing the street on his way home from work.
Detectives are still awaiting the autopsy report from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, police said. Officer Salino, a two-year veteran of the police department assigned to the Franconia District Station, was operating the cruiser involved in the crash, police said. He remains on an administrative assignment.
