Police Drop Armed Robbery Investigation in Kingstowne Area
On Monday, Fairfax County Police say they have discovered "inconsistencies" while investigating shooting, robbery last Tuesday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police said Monday that detectives have discovered "inconsistencies" during their course of investigating what they called a shooting that took place during a robbery last Tuesday in Kingstowne.
Additionally, the victim of the robbery and shooting "no longer wishes to pursue criminal charges" in the case, police said.
Police responded to a call at about 2:09 a.m. last Tuesday to Collins Meade Way and Braeleigh Lane, they said. The area is a neighborhood off of Kingstowne Village Parkway near the intersection of Kingstowne Village Parkway and Hayfield Road.

According to police, the victim reported that a man approached him and demanded property. When the victim refused, the suspect shot him in the arm, police said. Police say the victim's injuries were not life-threatening.
Police on Monday also said the victim has refused to cooperate with detectives, and that this case is "closed due to lack of cooperation from the victim."
