School Officer Program To Be Discussed At West Springfield Station

SPRINGFIELD, VA — The Fairfax County Police Department's West Springfield Community Advisory Committee is hosting a community engagement meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 3 to offer residents a chance to learn and ask questions about the county's school resource officer program.

The speaker for the Jan. 3 meeting will be Sgt. Terence Bridges of the FCPD’s school resource officer program.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be held in person at the West Springfield District Station at 6140 Rolling Road in Springfield.

The West Springfield District Station encompasses the largest established residential community in Fairfax County. Staffing at the station includes 121 sworn officers, eight auxiliary officers and 31 civilians, including police citizen aides, crossing guards, crime analyst, administrative staff and volunteers.
