Springfield Town Center Briefly Evacuated Friday After Fire Alarm Glitch
Shoppers were evacuated Friday from Springfield Town Center for about 10 minutes after a technical glitch with alarm, a spokeswoman said.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Springfield Town Center shopping center was briefly evacuated Friday afternoon after a shopping center alarm sounded. A spokeswoman for the mall said there was a glitch with the fire alarm system.
The Fairfax County Fire Department gave the all-clear sign and shoppers were outside for about 10 minutes, the spokeswoman said, beginning at about 3:15 p.m.
The shopping center was renovated in 2014 and reopened in October 2014, to much fanfare.
